Charges – Rock Throwing – Alice Springs

Northern Territory Police have charged a 17-year-old male for damage to property following a rock throwing incident in Alice Springs.

Acting Superintendent Peter Dash said that a rock was thrown at a St John Ambulance about 3:00pm yesterday.

“Emergency service personnel were responding to an incident when a rock was allegedly thrown at the Ambulance, smashing the rear window,” he said.

Police arrested a 17-year-old male a short time later.

He was charged with:

  • Damage to property
  • Endanger occupants of vehicles or vessels
  • Armed with an offensive weapon

He was bailed to appear in the Alice Springs Local Court today.
