Northern Territory Police have charged a 15-year-old male in relation to two property offences.
Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Mark Bland from Strike Force Trident said the youth allegedly entered a property on Flynn Circuit, Bellamack about 3.30am on 26 February, from which he took a set of car keys and the occupant’s Mazda 6.
It was recovered later that day abandoned in Moulden.
“CCTV identified the alleged offender, and a search warrant was executed at a residence in Moulden. Clothing worn during the offending was seized, as were other property items and a data storage device containing evidence of his involvement in another unlawful entry in Moulden.”
He was arrested and charged with:
- Aggravated unlawful entry of a dwelling (x2)
- Unlawful use of motor vehicle
- Stealing (x2)
- Drive motor vehicle unlicensed
He was remanded to appear in Darwin Youth Court today.
