Northern Territory Police have charged a 41-year-old woman with the murder of her 36-year-old partner.

Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Tony Henrys from the Major Crime Squad said the woman allegedly stabbed her partner in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

She will appear in Tennant Creek Local Court today.
