Charges – Cyber Crime – Darwin

Northern Territory Police arrested a public servant yesterday for engaging in cyber-related criminal activities.

The 32-year-old man was allegedly involved in a phishing scam linked to identity theft.

He has been charged with:

  • Possess identifying information
  • Obtain benefit by deception

He was bailed to appear in Darwin Local Court on 9 August 2017.

As the matter is still under investigation, no further information will be released.
