Northern Territory Police have charged a 31-year-old man for aggravated assault, following an incident that occurred in Alice Springs yesterday.
Detective Superintendent Michael White said that the assault occurred at a caravan park about 8:00pm yesterday.
“The man allegedly indecently assaulted a 41-year-old woman before attempting to steal a vehicle,” he said.
“He then allegedly assaulted a 54-year-old man, including biting him on the cheek.”
He was arrested a short time later and charged with:
- Enter occupied dwelling
- Indecently assault a person (x2)
- Aggravated assault
- Unlawful use of a motor vehicle (attempt)
He was remanded in custody to appear in the Alice Springs Local Court today.
