Northern Territory Police are calling for the public assistance in locating 17-year-old Liam Whitehurst.

Whitehurst is wanted for questioning in relation to the theft of a Subaru WRX from a home in Bakewell on Friday night, and for fleeing the scene of a crash on Victoria Drive in Gray yesterday afternoon.

He is also a person of interest in other property crimes.

Police hold concerns for the safety of the community and of Whitehurst.
