Call for Information – Attempted Robbery – Bakewell

Northern Territory Police are calling for information following an attempted robbery in Bakewell.

Detective Acting Sergeant Andrew Nicholson from the Serious Crime Squad said the incident occurred on Monday 23 January around 9:10pm.

“The alleged offender approached a couple as they walked to their vehicle in the Woolworths Bakewell carpark.

“He then held a knife to the boyfriend and demanded money. The girlfriend screamed, which caused the offender to flee the area empty-handed.”

He is described as being of Indigenous appearance with olive complexion and black hair.

At the time of the incident he was wearing a black singlet with white writing, dark knee-length shorts, black and grey runners, a black cap with white writing and a black side bag.

“Police are calling for anyone who witnessed the incident or the person pictured walking around the area at the time to come forward,” said Detective Acting Sergeant Nicholson.
