Northern Territory Police are calling for information in relation to an assault that occurred on Christmas Eve in Wagaman.

Constable Kevin Carr said a 19-year-old woman was thrown into the path of a moving vehicle about 7.30pm on Limmen St, Wagaman.

“A short while later, the victim was assisted by a passer-by who conveyed her to safety.

“Police would like to speak to the driver of the first car, who may offer further information about the assault.”

The alleged offender was arrested on Saturday and will appear in Darwin Local Court on 9 February.
