Call for information - Assault with a firearm - Casuarina

Northern Territory Police are investigating an assault with an alleged firearm following a service station drive off in Casuarina this morning.

Detective Sergeant Andrew Dudley said the incident occurred around 5:30am at Woolworths Caltex service station on Trower Road.

“An unknown male wearing a ‘Scream’ mask has filled up a late model white Toyota Camry station wagon and driven off without paying.

“A male customer has attempted to take down his number plate and upon seeing this the driver has stopped and threatened the customer with an alleged firearm through the window.”

The alleged offender is described as being of indigenous appearance. At the time of the offence he was wearing a white t-shirt with a print on the front, dark shorts and black and white runners.

 

The vehicle was not displaying any front registration plates at the time and it is not yet known if the vehicle was stolen.
