Northern Territory Police are calling for information following an alleged arson in Katherine overnight.

Senior Constable Charles Drury said the fire, at a construction site on Riverbank Drive, was reported about 9pm Friday night. It caused substantial damage to an excavator and bobcat.

“A male was seen leaving the area. He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, of average build about 180cm tall.

“He has scruffy hair, and grey facial hair. He was wearing a white hoody, dark shorts and was bare foot.”
