Call for information Armed Robbery Jingili

Northern Territory Police are investigating an armed robbery at a Jingili service station.

Detective Acting Senior Sergeant David Allan said the incident occurred around 2:00am this morning.

“An unknown male entered the McMillans Road service station and threatened the console operator with a small pocket knife.

“The console operator retreated to the back office where he has locked himself in. The offender jumped the counter and attempted to open the till before fleeing empty-handed.

“He was last seen running down Rothdale Road.”

The offender is described as being of Caucasian appearance, approximately 183cm tall and of slim to medium build. At the time of the incident he was wearing dark-coloured shorts, a black long-sleeve shirt and a black cap with a white shirt wrapped around his head.

“Police believe a number of motorists were in the area at the time, and we are asking these individuals to come forward,” Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Allan said.
