Call for information – Aggravated Robbery – Casuarina

Northern Territory Police are calling for information following an aggravated robbery in Casuarina yesterday.

Detective Senior Sergeant Evan Kelly said the incident occurred between 1:00pm – 2:00pm at Coles Supermarket, Casuarina Village.

“A man and woman have attended the supermarket and become involved in an altercation with loss prevention officers and security. It is alleged the pair also threatened staff with scissors before fleeing the area.

“Police attended and following a review of CCTV, the couple were identified and arrested at their Karama residence.”

The 24-year-old man was charged with aggravated robbery, aggravated unlawful use of a motor vehicle and threats to kill (x2).

The 31-year-old female was charged with aggravated robbery, aggravated unlawful use of a motor vehicle and drive unlicensed (x2).

They will appear in Darwin Local Court today.
