Police

Northern Territory Police have charged three youths in relation to a car theft in Karama on Sunday night.

“Upon entering the house, they stole a handbag which contained keys to the family car. They then drove it from the home, and took turns driving the vehicle,” he said.

“The vehicle was found on Osgood Drive, Eaton some hours later.

“The youths were arrested at the Casuarina Bus Interchange on Tuesday after they were overheard bragging about the theft.”

All three were charged with:

  • Aggravated unlawful entry
  • Stealing
  • Aggravated Unlawful use of a motor vehicle
  • Drive unlicensed

The two older girls were bailed to appear in Darwin Youth Court on April 28, while the youngest was remanded to appear today.
