Members from Strike Force Trident have charged a 15-year-old female youth following the unlawful use of a motor vehicle allegedly stolen from the Fannie Bay area.

Detective Sergeant Michael Budge said Police will allege that between 1 and 2 April 2016 a White Toyota Kluger station wagon was stolen from a residence in Fannie Bay.

On 5 April the youth was captured on CCTV footage in the stolen vehicle. Later the same day she was arrested and at that time the keys to the stolen vehicle were located on her.

Detective Sergeant Budge said, “Again it’s a timely reminder to take all precautions with household and personal security”.

The youth has been charged and remanded in custody to appear in the Youth Justice Court on 9 May 2016.
