“Police were alerted, and the offender was identified using CCTV,” she said.

“Police apprehended the alleged offender near the Todd River a short time later.”

He has been charged with endangering occupants of a vehicle and was bailed to appear in the Alice Springs Youth Court on January 22.

“Throwing rocks at vehicles is extremely dangerous and can have serious or fatal consequences,” A/Superintendent Vicary said.

“If you witness or suspect anyone of throwing rocks at vehicles, immediately call Police and notify them of the location and a description of the persons involved on 131 444.”
