Northern Territory Police have charged a 15-year-old male following an aggravated assault on two women in the Mataranka region.
“Police allege that the offender violently assaulted the women, aged 36 and 41, on 19 of April,” Detective Senior Sergeant Meghan Funnell said.
“He was located and arrested yesterday afternoon.
“He was subsequently charged with additional offences dating back to 1 February 2016.”
He was charged with:
- Aggravated assault (x2)
- Unlawful use of a motor vehicle
- Damage to property (x2)
- Stealing
- Drive unlicensed
- Trespass on enclosed premises
He was remanded in custody to appear in the Katherine Youth Justice Court today.
