A 19-year-old female was issued a notice to appear following an assault on a café worker in Casuarina.

Senior Sergeant Hege Burns said the alleged offender was located and arrested by Casuarina General Duties Police yesterday.

“The victim was allegedly struck to the face during the altercation at her place of employment on 9 February.”

The 19-year-old was issued a notice to appear for the offence of ‘Assault – Victim suffers harm’ and will appear in the Darwin Magistrates Court on 1 April.

“She has also been issued a trespass notice to stay off and not return to Casuarina Square Shopping Centre for 12 months,” Senior Sergeant Burns said.
