Northern Territory Police from the Crime Division have today executed a warrant at a business in Darwin, in relation to alleged fraudulent activity.
Detective Superintendent Travis Wurst said this was part of an investigation by Police into travel agencies allegedly involved in the fraudulent application of the Northern Territory Pensioner and Carer Concession Scheme, following a referral from the Interagency Task Force (IAT).
“Police executed a warrant at a business in Darwin, where evidence was collected to assist us with our inquiries,” he said.
“Investigations are ongoing, and no arrests were made at this time.”
The IAT consists of representatives from Treasury, Health, the Solicitor for the Northern Territory and Northern Territory Police.
