Northern Territory Police have recovered a silver 2006 Toyota Camry which was reported stolen last night, but are still seeking to locate a black 2015 Mitsubishi Triton – NT rego CB90LN – which was stolen from a cricket club in Marrara on 18 December.
Strike Force Trident Officer in Charge, Detective Senior Sergeant Rob Jordan, said police believe the outstanding vehicle has been involved in a number of offences across the Darwin and Palmerston area, including a drive off from a service station, and the running of a red light that nearly resulted in a collision with another vehicle.
“Due to the erratic and dangerous driving displayed, we urge the public to keep their distance from the vehicle, and not to attempt to follow it,” he said.
“Police request anyone who sees this vehicle to call 131 444 as soon as possible and report the location.”
Police are also asking all fuel service stations to be aware this vehicle is stolen and to report any sighting.
