Northern Territory Police have charged two youths, aged 15 and 17, for their alleged involvement in an unlawful entry on Tuesday 9 August.
Detective Senior Sergeant Allan Milner from Serious Crime Squad said two males entered a storage area attached to a licensed premises in Eastside about 7:00pm and stole a quantity of alcohol.
“During an attempt to apprehend one of the offenders, a Police officer was assaulted,” he said.
“Both offenders fled the scene, but were arrested a short time later, after being identified on CCTV footage.”
The 15-year-old male was charged with:
- Unlawful entry - building
- Stealing
- Damage property
- Trespass
- Assault with intent to steal
- Furnish false name
- Assault Police
The 17 year old male was charged with:
- Trespass
- Stealing
They are due to appear in the Alice Springs Youth Court today.
