Two Men Charged - Drugs Seized - Darwin CBD

Northern Territory Police have charged two males from Victoria following a warrant executed at a Darwin CBD Hotel room.

Detective Superintendent Clint Sims said the warrant was executed by Darwin Police early Saturday morning.

“Upon a search of the room, members located 56 grams of MDMA, 8 grams of methamphetamine and a small quantity of cannabis.

“Police will allege the males flew to Darwin on Friday for the sole purpose of selling the drugs.”

Both men aged 28 and 27 were charged with:

  • Supply methamphetamine
  • Possess methamphetamine – trafficable
  • Supply schedule two drug – commercial (MDMA)
  • Possess schedule two drug – commercial (MDMA)
  • Possess cannabis
  • Possess thing to administer dangerous drug (x2)

They will appear in Darwin Magistrates Court today.

“Attempting to profit from drugs will prove costly for this pair.  If you are thinking about selling drugs to make a quick dollar, think about the consequences because Police will be on the lookout for you,” Superintendent Sims said.
