Two Men Charged - Drugs Seized - Darwin

Northern Territory Police have charged two males and seized a quantity of drugs following a search warrant at a Virginia Motel.

Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Stringer from the Organised Crime Division said the two males, believed to be associates of the Gypsy Jokers Outlaw Motorcycle Gang, travelled to Darwin on Friday.

“Yesterday, Police executed a search warrant at a motel room believed to be linked to the males.

“During the search Police located a commercial quantity of Lysergic Acid (LSD), a quantity of methamphetamine, a small quantity of cannabis and un-prescribed medication.”

The two males aged 57 and 60 were charged with: 

  • Possess schedule 1 substance - commercial quantity
  • Possess schedule 1 substance
  • Possess schedule 2 substance
  • Possess schedule 4 substance

They will appear in Darwin Local Court on Monday 3 October.
