Police in Alice Springs are investigating an accident that occurred today on the corner of Telegraph Terrace and Stuart Terrace.

Assistant Commissioner Jeanette Kerr said that the driver of one of the vehicles involved is a 44-year-old female off duty Police officer.

“Major Crash investigators are at the scene and the off duty Police officer has been taken to the Alice Springs Police Station for a breath test,” she said.

“The occupants of the other car have been taken to the Alice Springs Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

“Major Crash unit are investigating the incident and oversight will be provided by the Professional Standards Command.”
