Detectives from the Serious Crime Squad have charged a 22-year-old man with Aggravated Robbery following his arrest in Rapid Creek this morning.

Detective Superintendent Travis Wurst said the man was still in the possession of the Toyota Corolla sedan and the victim’s mobile phone when he was taken into custody about 8:30am.

The man was also charged with:

• Deprivation of liberty
• Aggravated assault
• Possess prohibited weapon
• Possess methamphetamine
• Drive unlicensed

He was remanded in custody to appear in the Darwin Magistrates Court on Monday 1 February 2016.
