National Missing Persons Week

Police

Every year many Territorians are reported missing. Some are soon found, however some are never seen again.

This year National Missing Persons week focuses of the importance of staying connected with family and friends, and encouraging those struggling or at risk to use the support services in place.

There are currently 120 people listed as missing in the Territory, dating back as far as 1974. One of those is Hungarian national Peter Koever.

Peter Koever, also known as Peter Bindr, was reported missing to Police in July 2010, however he was last sighted in December 2009 at his residence at Ironwood Place, Girraween.

Prior to his disappearance, Peter informed friends that he intended to return to Hungary. Despite extensive enquiries, Peter was never seen again.

If you have any information that may assist in locating Peter, please contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

When someone goes missing, their absence creates a massive void in the lives of the people they left behind. A variety of support services are available across Australia including Lifelinebeyondblue, HeadspaceSANE Australia and Relationships Australia. We encourage anyone who is struggling to contact one of these services.
