Northern Territory Police have charged four men in relation to a string of organised offences across the Top End.
Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Malogorski of the Drug and Organised Crime Squad said Police seized cash, illicit drugs, phones, a vehicle, gold jewellery, and a firearm.
He said a tip-off from the public as a result of the Dob in a Dealer campaign alerted Police to two men allegedly dealing drugs from a shopping centre in the northern suburbs.
“Officers observed a meeting before searching two men aged 19 and 23, where they located $12,400 cash and 472g of cannabis. An iPhone and a Holden Commodore were also seized.”
As a result of these arrests, officers conducted warrants at two Humpty Doo addresses.
“At the first, members seized a further $23,250 cash, 466g of cannabis and gold jewellery worth $13,000. An 18-year-old man was arrested.
“At the second warrant, officers seized a small amount of cannabis, seven MDMA tablets and a .22 calibre rifle. A 22-year-old man was issued a Notice to Appear.”
In total, Police seized 938g of cannabis, seven MDMA pills, $35,650 cash, as well as the rifle, vehicle and mobile phone.
The 18 and 19-year-old men were charged with:
- Supply cannabis
- Possess commercial quantity – schedule 2 substance
- Possess tainted property
The 23-year-old man was charged with:
- Possess cannabis
- Supply cannabis
All were bailed to appear on July 8.
