Methamphetamine Seized - Darwin

Police

Northern Territory Police have seized a quantity of methamphetamine following an operation targeting Darwin transport and delivery distribution centres.

Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Stringer said drug squad officers spent today screening incoming and outgoing packages.

“A drug detection dog responded positively to one package in particular which was found to contain 140grams of methamphetamine.

“Investigations into the origin and destination of the package are ongoing, but someone out there will be surely missing this seizure.”

Northern Territory Police will continue to target those who use our roads and airways to traffick drugs into the community.

If you have any information on the sale or supply of methamphetamine in the Territory please contact Police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
