Northern Territory Police have arrested a 20-year-old man for allegedly stealing from licensed premises in Alice Springs yesterday.
Superintendent Virginia Read said that the man was arrested at 5:10am yesterday.
“CCTV footage shows a silver sedan arrive at the premises about 4:00am. A man exits from the vehicle and forcibly enters the premises,” she said.
“He is then seen opening the fridge doors and removing a quantity of alcohol before fleeing the venue.
“Police located the man inside the silver sedan a short time later.”
He was charged with aggravated entry of a building with intent to commit an offence and stealing.
He was remanded in custody to appear in the Alice Springs Local Court today.
