Man Charged – Unlawful Entry – Alice Springs

Northern Territory Police have charged a 22-year-old male for an unlawful entry in Alice Springs on 1 July 2012.

Detective Senior Sergeant Peter Malley said that members from Strike Force Vega arrested the man today.

“The offender and a co-offender allegedly unlawfully entered a property at The Fairway on 1 July and stole an iPhone, an iPad, $1000 in cash and a set of keys.

“The offenders then stole a Daihatsu Terrios from the garage using the keys.

“The stolen vehicle was later recovered in Braitling with extensive interior damage.

“The second offender has not yet been identified,” he said.

The 22-year-old male was charged with:

  • Unlawful entry
  • Unlawful use of motor vehicle (aggravated)
  • Criminal Damage
  • Stealing     

He was remanded in custody and is due to appear in the Alice Springs Court today.
