Members from the Southern Investigations Division have charged a 31-year-old man following a number of serious domestic violence offences.

Senior Constable Nick George said Police will allege the man was actively avoiding Police after a warrant was issued for his arrest in February.

He was arrested yesterday and charged with:

• Deprivation of liberty (x2)
• Aggravated assault (x2)
• Armed with an offensive weapon
• Stealing (x2)
• Criminal damage (x2)
• Animal cruelty
• Breach of bail.

He will appear in Alice Springs Magistrates Court today.
