Man Charged – Breach of Bail – Darwin

Northern Territory Police have charged a 25-year-old man following a breach of his bail conditions.

Detective Senior Sergeant Michael Budge said Police had been searching for the man since November 2015, after he left the Territory – breaching bail conditions set by the Supreme Court.

“He was arrested on Monday after he was spotted by Police in Coolalinga driving an alleged stolen motor vehicle. Police will allege he was affected by illicit substances at the time of his arrest.”

He was interviewed yesterday and charged with:

  • Aggravated unlawful use of a motor vehicle
  • Drive with prohibited drug in blood
  • Drive a motor vehicle whilst unlicensed
  • Breach of bail

Further, he was questioned in relation to an unlawful entry at a residence in Karama on 17 April 2016. Enquires are continuing.

He will appear in Darwin Supreme Court today.
