Man Charged – Aggravated Assault – Tennant Creek

Northern Territory Police have charged a 28-year-old male in relation to an assault in Tennant Creek on Tuesday.

Superintendent Kerry Hoskins said members from Strike Force Agra arrested the man yesterday after an incident that occurred on Tuesday 26 January.

“The man allegedly stabbed a 35-year-old man numerous times causing major injuries.

“The man had to be conveyed to the Alice Springs Hospital for his injuries and is in a stable condition.”

The man was charged with:

  • Recklessly endangering life
  • Unlawfully causing serious harm
  • Aggravated assault
  • Breach DVO
  • Breach APO

He was refused bail and will appear in the Alice Springs Court today.
