Man Arrested - Aggravated Assault - Palmerston

Northern Territory Police have arrested a man in relation to an aggravated assault that occurred in Palmerston yesterday.

Detective Senior Sergeant Chris Board said just after 3:30pm Police were notified of a male who was located on a footpath at Temple Terrace with serious head injuries consistent with an assault.

“The male was rushed to Royal Darwin Hospital where he is currently in a serious but stable condition.

“CCTV vision of the area was reviewed by Detectives and a subsequent arrest of a 28-year-old male was made today. He remains in Police custody and is expected to be interviewed later today.

“Police are calling for anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or anyone with any information to contact them on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.”
