Five firearms have been stolen from a residence in Palmerston yesterday.
Detective Senior Sergeant Robert Jordan from Strike Force Trident said unknown persons or person gained entry into the premises and managed to remove two gun safes.“Five firearms were taken along with ammunition from the other safe, obviously we are very concerned.
“We are appealing for anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity in the area of Farrar in Palmerston between the hours of 5:30am and 6:00pm yesterday to please contact Police.
“Anyone who has any information on the current whereabouts of these firearms is also urged to contact Police on 131 444 or call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.”
The missing firearms are:
- Winchester Rossie Amadeo Riogrande lever action 30-30 (S/N SS108355)
- Winchester Howa LTD 1500 Bolt Action 308 (S/N B207950)
- Lanber Armas S.A. 2187 Under/Over 12g Shot gun (S/N 0135009)
- Fabarm 12g Under/Over Shot gun (E16189)
- Marlin lever action 30-30 (S/N MR12764C)
