A pedestrian has died after being struck by a vehicle while crossing the Stuart Highway at Knuckey Lagoon last night.
The victim, believed to be a 38-year-old woman, was struck by a ute being driven by a 20-year-old man about 8.20pm Wednesday.
She was treated at the scene by St John Ambulance, before being taken to Royal Darwin Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries in the early hours of this morning.
Investigations are continuing.
The death takes the road toll to five, compared to four at the same time last year.
