Northern Territory Police are investigating a fatal incident involving a truck in Leanyer about 8.15pm last night.

Commander Traffic Division Tony Fuller said the incident happened in the loading bay of a shopping centre. 

"Major Crash Detectives attended the scene and will continue to investigate. The driver was not injured and is assisting police with their enquiries," Commander Fuller said. 

A file will be prepared for the coroner. 

The road toll now stands at 35, compared to 38 this time last year.
