The Northern Territory road toll has risen to four after a 25-year-old man died in a single-vehicle rollover near the Daly River community overnight.

The man was driving a four-wheel-drive when he crashed on Daly River Rd about 40km from Nauiyu on the evening of February 18. Early investigations suggest the man has left the road, over-corrected and rolled.

The crash was reported to Police shortly before 6pm.

Detectives from the Major Crash Unit remain on the scene and the road remains closed. The public are advised to avoid travelling to Daly River if possible.

The road toll was four at the same time last year.
