A 29-year-old male has died after falling from his motorcycle in Holtz this afternoon.

Territory Duty Superintendent Brendan Muldoon said Police were alerted to the crash around 3.30pm when the male was taken by friends to the Palmerston Super Clinic.

“Unfortunately the man has died from his injuries.

“Major Crash Detectives are investigating circumstances around the crash on Thorngate Road.

“The dirt bike was removed from the scene soon after the crash and has been seized by Police for forensic examination.

“A file will be prepared for the coroner,” Superintendent Muldoon said.

The 2016 road toll now stands at 17 compared to 15 at the same time last year.
