The Territory road toll has risen to three after the death of a male on the Arnhem Highway last night.
The man was a passenger in a Ford Laser, heading inbound. The vehicle has collided head-on with an outbound Toyota Landcruiser, 20km east of Humpty Doo about 9pm.
Police are yet to confirm the identity of the deceased male.
The cause of the crash is under investigation, and the Major Crash Unit remains on the scene.
Diversions are in place, with one lane open to traffic. The public are advised to use caution and avoid the area if possible.
The road toll was one at the same time last year.
