Escapee – Kim Thomas Riley

Police

Northern Territory Police continue to search for escapee Kim Thomas Riley, who escaped from custody yesterday evening.

Superintendent Kerry Hoskins said Mr Riley was being assessed at Royal Darwin Hospital when he fled from Corrections officers just after 7:00pm.

“Police attended and a search of the area failed to locate him.”

Police believe he was picked up by his partner, Rachel Chatfield, in a white Holden Captiva, WA registration 1EMG837.

They were last seen at Elliot driving south on the Stuart Highway.

They may also be in the company of Ms Chatfield’s two children.

He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 185cm tall and of athletic build with short black hair and facial stubble.

At the time of his disappearance Mr Riley was handcuffed.

Whilst not considered to be dangerous, members of the public are urged to not approach him but to report all sightings to Police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
