Northern Territory Police continue to search for fugitive Jeffrey Ahwon.

Mr Ahwon, 19, was reported missing from the Darwin Correctional Centre when he failed to attend a muster parade on Saturday morning.

Detective Senior Sergeant Chris Board from the Serious Crime Squad has urged Mr Ahwon to hand himself in to Police.

Mr Ahwon is described as being of Indigenous appearance, 175cm tall and of medium build with dark hair.

Whilst not considered to be a threat to the public, Police are still urging members of the community not to approach him, but to report all sightings to Police on 131 444 or contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
