Drug Offences - Nhulunbuy

Police

Northern Territory Police have charged nine offenders with drug related offences in Nhulunbuy over the weekend.

Drug and Organised Crime Detectives have seized a total of 45 kilograms of Kava, 238 grams of Cannabis and $26,000 in cash following four separate search warrants.

Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Stringer said Police will continue to target drug offenders in remote areas.

“These offenders are targeting venerable people and doing it solely for profit. They do not care about the damage they do in communities or the issues they cause.

“Often these drugs are sold at wildly inflated prices and cause trouble for family groups.”
