Drug Offences - Alice Springs

Northern Territory Police have charged two men, aged 38 and 32, for drug-related offences in Alice Springs yesterday.

Detective Senior Sergeant Peter Malley said that detectives from the Southern Division Investigation seized a traffickable quantity of methamphetamine and MDMA following the execution of a search warrant.

“The offenders were located and arrested about 9:00am yesterday.”

The 38-year-old was charged with: 

  • Possess methamphetamine - traffickable quantity
  • Possess MDMA - traffickable quantity
  • Possess thing used to administer dangerous drug

The 32-year-old was charged with:

  • Reckless driving
  • Fail to stop
  • Administer dangerous drug to self (x2)
  • Fail to dispose of syringe
  • Possess methamphetamine - traffickable quantity
  • Possess MDMA - traffickable quantity

Both men were remanded in custody to appear in the Alice Springs Local Court today.
