A 23-year-old man, transported by police to Royal Darwin Hospital for treatment on Friday morning 16 September, died yesterday afternoon.

The man had been involved in a car crash earlier Friday morning on the Stuart Highway in Parap.

The incident is considered a death in police custody and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
