Detectives from the Northern Investigation Section have charged a 25-year-old male in relation to an unlawful entry and sexual assault that occurred in the early morning of Friday 20 May 2016.

Katherine Police would like to thank members of the public who assisted during this investigation.

The man was remanded in custody to appear in the Katherine Local Court on 25 July 2016.
