Northern Territory Police have charged two males in relation to an unlawful entry in Alice Springs overnight.
Detective Senior Sergeant Peter Malley said members from Strike Force Vega arrested the men aged 20 and 36 at the scene.
“Police were waiting inside the venue due to a series of unlawful entries at the location recently,” he said.
“The offenders broke into the premises about 11:15pm and were surprised when Police were there to greet them.
“The 36-year-old man was subsequently charged for unlawfully entering the same premises twice prior to his arrest.”
The 36-year-old was charged with:
- Unlawful entry building x 3
- Property damage x 3
- Stealing x 2
The 20-year-old was charged with:
- Unlawful entry building
- Property damage
Bail is yet to be determined at the time of writing.
