Northern Territory Police have charged a 35-year-old man after he allegedly stole more than $15,000 worth of merchandise from a northern suburbs business.

Detective Senior Sergeant Rob Jordan from Strike Force Trident said the man allegedly broke in to the store about 11.10pm Saturday 6 August.

“While in the store the offender stole knives, electronics, a bike, clothing and shoes,” he said.

“A warrant executed at a Nightcliff residence yesterday located a large amount of the stolen property as well as a small amount of MDMA pills.”

The man was arrested and charged with:

  • Unlawful entry
  • Stealing
  • Damage property
  • Possess schedule 1 drug

He was remanded to appear in Darwin Local Court today.
