Northern Territory Police have charged a 20-year-old man in relation to the serious assault on a 23-year-old man in Darwin City yesterday morning.
Detective Senior Sergeant Chris Board from the Serious Crime Squad said the victim remains in hospital, but has woken from an induced coma.
“We are aware that a number of persons were loitering in the area at the time of the assault. We ask those persons to come forward now.”
The man has been charged with:
- Recklessly endanger, cause serious harm
- Unlawfully cause serious harm
- Aggravated assault
He has been remanded in custody to appear in Darwin Local Court on Monday.
