Northern Territory Police have charged a Melbourne woman after she was caught at Darwin Airport allegedly carrying an amount of methamphetamine on her person.
Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Stringer said Drug Dog Astra returned a positive response to the woman during screening about 10am Friday (February 12).
“She was subsequently searched and a package containing 14g of methamphetamine was allegedly found in her clothing.”
She was charged with:
- Possess trafficable quantity methamphetamine
- Supple methamphetamine
She was remanded in custody to appear in Darwin Magistrates Court today.
