Detectives from Strike Force Trident have charged a 15-year-old youth with several offences following his arrest.

Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Bland said the youth was arrested in Woodroffe on Wednesday.

“The youth had been an arrest target following his failure to appear in court for other unrelated charges and Police will allege he committed further crimes while actively avoiding Police,” he said.

The youth was charged with:

• Aggravated unlawful use of a motor vehicle
• Unlawful entry
• Stealing (x4)
• Trespass
• Drive unlicensed
• Drive in a dangerous manner

He is due to appear in the Darwin Magistrates Court today.
